Introduction

Greetings in the Name of the Father and of the Lord Christ Jesus! The reason for me setting up this website is to share with you certain truths that I have learned over the years. Let me tell you a little bit about myself…

I’m currently in my early 40’s. I was baptized (into what I later realized was a cult) when I was 21 years old. As with most new converts, I was excited about my faith – at first. Then, things began to get ugly and I started questioning God and questioning why I was still going to church. I eventually left that church about 7 years after my baptism, disappointed and disillusioned with what I found in religion. Since then, I’ve realized that God needed to put me through all of that to bring me to the point that I am at now. I’m here, at this point in my life, to share what I have learned with you. I must warn you, I’m not a conventional “Christian.” That term has lost all meaning to me. You may not like what you read. But, I will do my best to challenge your beliefs and to make you aware that we serve a God that is so much BIGGER and BETTER than we could have even imagined!!

And, if you are “new” or curious about the faith, welcome! This site is for you and for believers alike. Now, let me ask everyone, are you a believer? What is a believer? How is that defined? Let’s start there. To be a believer, you must believe in the Gospel (the Evangel) of Jesus Christ. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? It is, but you need to get the foundation down first. The Gospels are four different accounts, or tellings of the story of Jesus, the Savior of the world. Jesus said in the Gospel of Matthew that we must have a firm foundation and build our house on rock, not sand. The rock is the truth, the sand is false doctrine. So now, I must ask, are you a believer? Are you sure?

In his first letter to the Church at Corinth, an apostle (chosen evangelist, someone who preaches in Jesus’ Name) named Paul wrote,
“Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain (feignedly). 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures” (1Cor 15:1-5, NASB, bold, italics and underline mine).

So, a believer is someone who has been given faith and has been chosen from the foundation of the world, to believe these three things:
  1. Jesus died for the sins of the world, which includes yours and mine
  2. Jesus was entombed
  3. Jesus was raised back to life on the third day, all according to the Scriptures
That’s it. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? And it is, but we need to get the foundation, the right doctrine. So, when you are ready, let’s dive deeper into the faith. Let’s follow Jesus together!

If I can save just one person, either from the world or from religion, and do my part in having that person come to a knowledge of the Truth, all of this would have been well worth it!!
I dedicate this work to my, and the world’s, One and Only Savior, the Lord Jesus!
