If I haven't convinced you that there is no such thing as an Eternal Hell, well my friend, there is not much else I can do. I won't waste my breath arguing with someone that refuses to seek the Scriptures honestly and diligently, like a good Berean. Here are some extra things to consider, and then, I will say no more on this.
If you are still not convinced of the salvation of ALL, let me give you a final analogy. Suppose you bought a house and paid it all in full in cash. In fact, you overpaid by several tens of thousands of dollars to ensure you were the one that got that house. There was no other offer like yours. And this was your dream house. It is spacious, and you put good money down to make sure that it uses state-of-the art “smart” technology that controls virtually everything (sorry, it doesn’t make your bed for you, but you plan to hire maids and butlers, anyway), and has everything a person could ever want! You are so excited to tour this new home of yours, the house that YOU just bought. However, while touring this mansion, you notice that a piece of the roof is missing, and there’s a small hole that is visible from both the inside and outside. On closer inspection, rain has been let in, evidenced by the fact that there is water damage on the inside. When confronting the Realtor about this, he nervously says, “Oh, that. Yes…well, when they were building it to your specifications, they had a little mishap, you see. But, the house is gorgeous!! It’s just you will need to deal with this part – may I suggest placing some Spackle over that area? You still have 99% of the house complete! Isn’t it beautiful??”
Now, how would you feel if you were the new homeowner? Be honest, wouldn’t you be furious?? I know I would be! You paid in full for 100% of a house, you should expect no less than 100%. Yet, Christians today believe that Jesus won’t get 100% nor 99% nor 70% nor 50%. He may perhaps get only 10% of all humanity. This makes a mockery of the Cross and of His Sacrifice!! When you say that not all men will be saved, think about what you are saying. You are saying that His once-for-all sacrifice was really not that effective at all, and that God’s Mighty Hand fails when His Creation needs it most! You’re saying because of His failure, most of humanity will burn in flames, cursing His Name for trillions of centuries! Or they will be “burned up” never to rise again. Either way, Christ is not victorious…and Satan wins! Think about that.
But thanks be to GOD that is not the case! He has purchased us, every
single one of us (yes, I do mean EVERYONE) by His most precious blood
spilled on Calvary. It was, as it says in Hebrews, “having offered
one sacrifice for sins for all time,” He delivered us from the
curse of death, who is the final enemy. In the end, everything
in all of Creation, every person to have walked this earth,
every creature, will be with God for all Eternity! Death does
not win. Satan does not win. God wins! All because of Christ!
8 Reasons Why Hell is Illogical (from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6vbJk2nunY)
1) It is completely an illogical, if not impossible, idea that an all-knowing, all powerful, perfect, loving God could create imperfect people whom he foreknew he would later destroy.
2) The doctrine of an eternal hell never exists in the Jewish religion or the Hebrew Bible scriptures, aka the Christian Old Testament, so would a Jewish Jesus have taught followers to believe in eternal punishment based upon those same scriptures? Not likely.
3) Why would an all-knowing, perfect deity rely upon imperfect lost people to spread his message throughout imperfect orations and writings? Wouldn't it make more sense for an all present, all powerful God to simply speak to everyone, personally, throughout all of time?
4) The urgency to save humanity came very late in the grand scheme of things when one considers that millions (billions, possibly) of people had already lived and died prior to the arrival of Jesus. If God is all knowing, and had to save the people he created why didn't he have a plan in place prior to this?
5) Any religion that teaches its followers that they will one day rejoice together in heaven, while the rest of humanity suffers in hell, cannot be trusted as purveyors of peace and truth.
6) A loving, compassionate God would never create people just to condemn his own children to suffer punishment for all eternity. Most animals naturally know to treat their offspring with more love. And don't we read in the Bible that God created them, too?
7) It is ludicrous to believe that a super-intelligent, loving deity is horrifically punishing people for not believing in him while remaining hidden from you, and requiring through hearsay and a book, that we all must have faith that he exists.
8) If God was truly just and merciful how could our temporary errors in judgment ever justify never-ending torture as punishment?
As stated before, Muslims also believe in eternal Heaven and Hell. Check out these passages from their scriptures (from: https://youtu.be/L7W-_Tjt8ds) and pay attention to the language that they use (it’s underlined).
From the Quran:
“And those who disbelieve will be gathered to Hell.” (Surah Al-Anfal Ayat 36 (8:36 Quran) With Tafsir)
“Surely those who disbelieve in Our revelations, We shall expose them to the Fire. As often as their skins are roasted We shall exchange them for fresh skins, that they may taste the torment. Surely, Allah is ever Mighty, Wise.” (Chapter (4) sūrat l-nisāa, The Women, 4:56)
“But, they who deny Our revelations and scorn them; such are rightful owners of the Fire; they shall dwell therein forever.” (Al-A'raf - The Elevated Places - 7:36 (Sura: 7, Verse: 36)
As for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them, while boiling water will be poured down on their heads. Whatever is in their bodies and skins are melted by it. And for them are goads* of iron. Whenever they desire to go forth from Hell in distress, the are returned to it. And it will be said: "Taste the torment of burning." (Surah 22:19-23)
*Goads - a long stick used as a prod for animals
Finally, there is a poem by Anne Brontë, written in the 19th century:
“You may rejoice to think yourselves secure,
You may be grateful for the gift divine,
That grace unsought which made your black hearts pure
And fits your earthborn souls in Heaven to shine.
But is it sweet to look around and view
Thousands excluded from that happiness,
Which they deserve at least as much as you,
Their faults not greater nor their virtues less?
And wherefore should you love your God the more
Because to you alone his smiles are given,
Because He chose to pass the many o'er
And only bring the favoured few to Heaven?
And wherefore should your hearts more grateful prove
Because for all the Saviour did not die?
Is yours the God of justice and of love
And are your bosoms warm with charity?
Say does your heart expand to all mankind
And would you ever to your neighbour do,
-- The weak, the strong, the enlightened and the blind --
As you would have your neighbour do to you?
And, when you, looking on your fellow men
Behold them doomed to endless misery,
How can you talk of joy and rapture then?
May God withhold such cruel joy from me!
That none deserve eternal bliss I know:
Unmerited the grace in mercy given,
But none shall sink to everlasting woe
That have not well deserved the wrath of Heaven.
And, O! there lives within my heart
A hope long nursed by me,
(And should its cheering ray depart
How dark my soul would be)
That as in Adam all have died
In Christ shall all men live
And ever round his throne abide
Eternal praise to give;
That even the wicked shall at last
Be fitted for the skies
And when their dreadful doom is past
To life and light arise.
I ask not how remote the day
Nor what the sinner's woe
Before their dross is purged away,
Enough for me to know
That when the cup of wrath is drained,
The metal purified,
They'll cling to what they once disdained,
And live by Him that died.”
